Does not life move much slower in reality than what it does in our minds? In our minds, life plays out at a much faster pace. Events that are expected to occur in real life already occurs in the mind. We can see days, months years and decades ahead in the mind. Then we move back to reality and we get a time check. Nothing much has moved, nothing much has changed. The mind builds up the expectations and reality does not match up to it. In one of the Mahabharata stories where Yudhisthira is asked questions, one of the questions was, “What is the fastest thing in the universe?”, and he answered it so truly as “Mind”. This will always hold true, I guess. Boredom is sometimes the place where the fast mind meets the slow world.
