The need for student counsellors has increased rapidly in the last few years. The Study Boards (CBSE, ICSE and some State Boards) have made it mandatory that there should be a counsellor in the institution premises during the entire school hours. Colleges and Universities (IITs and IIMs) too hire counsellors for the students.

Course objective: To enable the participants to be equipped with the knowledge and skill to counsel students in the Institution environment as well as counselling children if the participants want to be independent practitioners. The emphasis of the course is less on theoretical constructs and more on practical matters that the counsellors have to deal with on a daily basis.
