Through a blend of theoretical knowledge, practical tools, and reflective practices, you will explore how words can help you process difficult experiences, develop self-awareness, and cultivate resilience. Course Details

Course objective

To enable individuals/counsellors/mental health professionals to understand the power of written word in the process of healing and personal growth. The course blends ideas of  Bibliotherapy along with concepts from Expressive Writing for healing. The course is very practical with lots of Reading and Writing activities.
Admission Criteria

The course is open to anyone who wishes to understand the power of the written word in the process of healing, rejuvenation and growth. The course can also be done by practicing counsellors, mental health professionals who wish to add the knowledge of these ideas and wish to incorporate into their practices.

This will be a 6 sessions course with classes conducted once a week. The duration of each class will be for two and a half hours. All sessions will have Reading and Writing activity embedded in them. 

One 2.5 hour classroom each week.
One reading assignment per week.
One writing assignment per week.
One 1:1 session with the trainer/counsellor per week that will foster a personalised healing experience

The course will help you explore your relationship with time, body, authority, wealth and places. You will revisit and dissipate any trauma you might have accrued. And you will use writing exercises to set aligned goals for your future.

Thursdays from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm.*

Eshwar Sundaresan - Author, Trainer, Psychologist
Eshwar Sundaresan is the author of Behind the Silicon Mask, Bangalored: the Expat Story, God Save the Toddy, Age-old Tales and Wiser After. As a freelance journalist, Eshwar has contributed to media agencies in India, Pakistan and Singapore. Since quitting the IT industry in 2003, he has found parallel vocations as a trainer and counsellor. Since 2012, he has ghostwritten eight books on a variety of topics such as Ayurveda, wealth management, psychological personality profiling, scientific research endeavours and the Family Office.
Being both a writer and counsellor, he is uniquely positioned to practice Bibliotherapy. He recently used Bibliotherapy to help people who were grieving the death of a loved one. This intervention resulted in an average reduction in grief intensity of 54.5%.
Eshwar is proud of being a multi-specialist and aspires to practice all his vocations passionately throughout his working life.

Course evaluation-assignment based

At the end of each session, the student is expected to submit a report about their learning and their view of the session. Submission of this report is regarded as attendance.

They are expected to attend all 6 classes to qualify for the certificate.

There will be few assignments in the course where the participants are expected to read some books and plenty of writing work.

Expectations from the participants: 

We expect 100% attendance from every student. All students of the course are expected to attend ALL  the classes in the course and follow the rules of engagement as defined by the faculty.

The students are expected to submit all the assignments in time and be proactive in the classroom activities. They are expected to uphold strict confidentiality on all matters shared by other participants either in the class or in the breakout room activities.

The course fee is Rs 13500/- to be paid on enrollment. Please check the refund policy in the footer. Due to the intense nature of the course and because of personal interaction with the faculty after every class session, the seats are limited to 10 (ten) only.
